How we handle your information

I-bat Battery Centre, 6 Barratt Road, Krugersdorp, is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website, in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

When you use the order form we collect the details you enter: your name, company (optional), phone number, email address, vehicle make, model and year, vehicle type, battery size if known, quantity, fitment choice and any notes. If you contact us via WhatsApp or phone, we receive the details you share there.

Why we collect it

• To respond to your order request with a quote, availability and fitment options
• To contact you about the order you placed
• To keep a record of enquiries for our own business administration

We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we do not sell or share them with third parties for their own purposes.

Where it goes

Order form submissions are emailed directly to our team's business mailbox and stored there. The website itself does not keep a database of orders. Our website is hosted by Vercel and our email by Domains.co.za; both process data only to provide those services to us.

How long we keep it

We keep order enquiries for as long as needed to deal with the request and for a reasonable period afterwards for business records, after which they are deleted.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. The embedded Google Map on the contact section is loaded from Google and is subject to Google's privacy policy.

Your rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us on WhatsApp or phone using the numbers on the contact section, or email us at the address on our correspondence. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
